Family Dashboard ("the App") is a household management tool designed for family use. We are committed to protecting our users' privacy and ensuring that your personal information is secure.

2. Information We Collect

The App collects and stores the following types of information:

• Account details: Email address, name, and profile picture from your Google account (via Firebase Authentication)
• Household data: Shopping lists, tasks, recipes, Shabbat menus, kids' schedules
• Financial data: Income, expenses, assets, and liabilities (stored securely)
• Chat conversations: Conversations with the AI-powered recipe assistant (Chef Bot)
• User settings: Language preferences, preferred tabs
• Crash diagnostics: When an error or crash occurs, technical-only information is collected (error type, device/browser type, app version) — with no personal or financial details

3. How We Use the Information

The collected information is used solely for the following purposes:

• Operating the App and providing the requested services
• Syncing data between household members
• Authenticating users and securing data access
• Improving the user experience

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: User authentication, data storage (Cloud Firestore), and hosting. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Generative AI (Gemini): Powers the recipe assistant (Chef Bot). Conversations with the bot may be sent to Google servers for processing. Google AI Terms of Service
• Sentry: Error and crash tracking service. When an error occurs in the App, a technical report is sent to Sentry's servers so we can detect and fix issues. We scrub personal and financial information from these reports and do not send IP addresses. Sentry Privacy Policy

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• User authentication via Google OAuth 2.0
• Firestore security rules that restrict data access to authorized household members only
• Encrypted communication via HTTPS

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us. After receiving a deletion request, data will be deleted within 30 business days.

7. User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your information:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information
• Export your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Children

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete the information immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the App. Continued use of the App after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
